i applied when Night Tube first started. Got all the way to the interview, but didn't make a great impression on the Depot Manager. I'm a lot more experienced in handing stressful situations and working in a safety-critical role now, and, if I could get it, it would solve a LOT of issues. For example, my better half could go back full time without having to worry about childcare costs, or I could do 2 nights on NT and 2-3 days coach driving. Preferably the former......

I struggled with the question on when I'd changed a health & safety policy and the customer service question.
Since then I've had an MMI with Greater Anglia, passed questions with flying colours but failed because I have a very mild stammer(their words, not mine). So I think I'm much better prepared now for what to expect.
I Just read this and am wondering about the question about changing a health and safety policy, surely many people never have.

It was something like that(although this was in March of 2016). The wording might have been slightly different, but that's all I can remember. I ended up using some terrible example with ladders, as I couldn't think of anything else.
To be honest i would struggle, unless you are a health and safety officer, i would think most companies have it set in stone or would be following the hse rules.

Exacltly. While currently I do work in a school and have some good health & safety examples, I've never had an input on those policies.
Same here and i work at luton airport.
Dont know if this is just a coincidence but this is my second role i applied for with l.u and noticed when i failed ac1 the first time they sent an email within 2 days stating i failed but the second time i did ac1 and passed it took around 6 days for the email. I noticed a similar pattern reading through a few ppls posts. Wondering if this pattern is same for ac2 results and if so maybe its a good thing if you dont hear from them in first few days?

At least this time around I know what to expect. Tbh i didn't find the AC1 tests that bad, and the more I think about it, the more of the AC2 interview questions I can remember(hopefully they're the same each time). With the rVce test I think I just need to take my time and speak more carefully, as last time I was very very nervous and it set my stammer off.
Wonder how soon in 2018 they'll start advertising?
HKD: Not sure really. When I passed AC1(in the original campaign in 2016) I was told within a few days. However when I failed the AC2 they took nearly two weeks to let me know. Whereas successful people had a phone call within a few days. Not sure whether this is still current though!

They make you listen to a call from a driver who's hit something. Think it was a shopping trolley. You then need to take notes and 'relay' the message with only the important information(as the driver waffles a lot).
From what I remember, you listen to the recording twice and make notes the second time.
They give u beforehand wat they will test u on..do make up scenarios for each...its not like they going to call up ur last job and ask them....or u could say " u did not change the policy as you use to ensure the company followed legislation by holding monthly meetings snd you facilitated that...and a new lolicy was to recycle paper..so you put posters telling people where to put the paper from now on..." ....there is answer right there!

If I make it to AC2 in the 2018 intake, I at least know the questions this time round. So can properly plan 2/3 answers per question. I'm terrible at coming up things on the spot.

What time did they call you and was it a Monday? I'm currently on day 9, waiting and fearing the worst!
Did they give you a reason why it took so long?
No reason.....but I got called on the 10th day which was a Friday and called me at 4.00pm.....but was good news. .it killed me...but I heard they email within few days if unsuccessful but if they wait till they long it's looking positive ( I think )...but they do call on withheld number....so if Monday is your 10th day. Then just have your phone on you all day from 9 to 5

Yes, and why would you want to get drunk the night before a life-changing job opportunity medical ?
On my course alone there were supposed to be 10 externals but 3 were failed on the medical...
Oh damn, starting to get nervous about the medical now lol

When is your medical...no need to be nervous if you give yourself about a week to detox...but the medical...Has this test where u r in some booth all alone..they don't play with their medicals
About £32k for first 12 weeks

Yep it is, when qualified. It's pro rata of full time rate £53k. So 16 hours = £24k. Full time training is 35 hours at £32k.
So it is technically more money when qualified but reduced hours so in reality it's a pay cut after training.
