Presuming you're talking about the ex-FNW ones I mean the Pacer style bench opposite the toilet door, not the longitudinal Chapman seats.
The pacer-bench goes in the bin , the 4 seater supplies 4 singles , the other comes from the spare double , the other two doubles are used on the fraught screen and up against the relocated otmr box

We use the seat frames off the 4 seat bench for the 5 singles required in that area

I wonder if the 142s will get attention, as they still have a few years left until their deadline. They would suit Grammer seating, it would match their squarish shape. Retention tanks would be a good idea too. They could retrofit the ex ATN/FNW units to have PIS screens like the ex Merseyrail ones too.

That is far better internally; hopefully that is the sign of things to come. Only minor little thing is that it would look better with wood effect lino flooring but that's only a small cosmetic thing.
Wood effects can soon become dated though, the wood panels on ex GNER Mallards are a fine example.

The first batch of 142s goes in 11 months so if be amazed if they were touched now other than routine maintenance.

Why would you bother when they have MAXIMUM of 2 years left, and that’s only a handful...

Certainly looks a quality and well-thought-through job. And the doors on those newer bogs are much more reliable (though the pan is way too close to the wall for tall people, a problem that also exists in far too many houses).

When looking at the Northern Franchise Document it clearly defines the loading, standing and seating of all units to be operated by Northern Railway. Interestingly it seems that 150s are all to have the same capacity (2car to be 124 seating, 89 standing and 3car to be 194 seating and 135 standing) which suggests there could be a seating change in plan. Even the existing /2s are to have seating reduced from 131 or 149 to 124. This would be strange considering the work which is being carried out already, so maybe a derrogation has been put in place to allow or the work ensures the same capacity even with original seating type being used. 156s are also to be brought into line which again suggests a seating change as the two distinct fleets currently have different seating types and layouts. Further to this, when looking at the electric fleets, 333s, as most are aware, are to have a great deal of seats removed to increase standing capacity (overall unit capacity increase of 91 with 59 less seats and room for an extra 150 to stand) in the West however, the solution on 319s seems to be to reduce seating capacity by 17 and have space for 4 less to stand suggesting more space for each seated individual. Having said that the document doesn't show the different seating capacity of the respective 319 classes pre any refurbishment which there of course is so maybe a shortcut was taken when government produced the document. The document describes the number of seating and standing passengers listed to "relate to the seating and standing capacities upon completion of refurbishment or reconfiguration works in accordance with the obligations of the Franchisee pursuant to paragraph 36 of part 1 of Schedule 6.1 (Committed Obligations and Related Provisions). " and suggests therefore that it must be done!

I have the seating layouts for angels 150s and these are deemed to be prm compliant , there’s some seat movements in some ex fnw units to make sure the correct percentage of seats are priority

8 of the /2s will need their toilets removing altogether when they become centre cars and there's a claim Angel are evaluating whether the redundant cabs should be removed, so if they will probably need work on the flooring afterwards.

Personally it'd make sense to retain them incase the other bog breaks and I think it'd be pointless taking the redundant cabs out of the /2's as a future franchise holder may wish to use them in the short term before replacing them.

Have the eight 150's that are to be reformed into hybrids been chosen yet?
