It's a digital world now. One of the major problems with the old logo was that it had too many elements - digital media is better with simple designs, and the new logo is very nice and simple.

The Daily Telegraph today pointed out that it looks like either a headless bull or a bathroom tap, depending on your perspective...

Think there still is a more-than-legal way of watching F1 without paying Murdoch; apart from those on 4 - as far as I know the races are shown live on German FTA channels, so all you need is a satellite dish pointing at the right satellite. I know that used to be the case, dunno if it still is though. And other accessible countries might still show it free?

Can anyone confirm this?

The German FTA deal ends/ended this year

You can get every Formula E e-prix race on channel 5. That's far more exiting, if this morning's chaotic race is anything to go by!

Because it's full of F1 rejects who crash all the time

There's plenty of brilliant drivers in the field. There are Le Mans winning drivers in Lotterer, & Jani as well as those who had their time in F1 but couldn't progress further (Buemi, JEV, Kobyashi) all of which are far better than Marcus Ericsson, who's staying in F1 for yet another year.

Alfa-Sauber kept him and let go of Pascal (my guess because Ferrari didn't want a Merc driver in their B team). Mercedes will now probably push/force him on Williams and in return give them pritory on engine upgrades.

Wehrlein will likely just go back to DTM, for Mercedes's final year, with a remote chance of being picked back up for F1 in 2019.
