Twitter Feed

Usually once a day, maybe more at weekends, I go onto Twitter and see the tweets from people I follow. It takes around 15-20 mins I suppose.

The thing which I find annoying though is that I'm not given them in chronological order. I see tweets from someone replying to someone before I see the original tweet itself, so I don't know the context or what they're on about.

Then near the end they sometimes give me an 'in case you missed it' part of the feed, containing tweets I hadn't seen at all. I read/scan my feed in its entirety so there's not going to be any I missed. Therefore, that part should perhaps be called 'tweets from people you follow which we didn't show you'.

I want to see all tweets from those I follow in the order they were tweeted. Is that too much to ask?

I've gone into settings but cannot see anything obvious where I could change it. I did change one preference once which sounded like it would do the trick but it didn't (I can't remember what it was off the top of my head).

Anyway, anyone got any advice for me? (Pertinent please )

Use a third party client. I'm using Plume on Android, which lets me see the feeds from multiple accounts, all in chronological order with no adverts. Other benefits include not really being able to read threads when people retweet them (saves loads of time), and not seeing the options on polls which often makes the questions seem hilarious

Well I looked at AlterEgo's suggestion which I discovered was the measure I'd already taken, so no improvement there. So I still see conversations in the wrong order and posts from 2 hours ago followed by posts from 18 hours ago.

I've got mine set like that and it still gives me out of sequence tweets.
