This might be interesting, or it might not... What interesting banner ads to you get on Railforums UK? The latest one that caught my eye is below:

attachment.php

Do people really buy locomotive grease based on ads they see on the Internet, it strikes me as quite a niche product? And why am I being offered it from Miami - vacation purchase?

Currently seeing an ad to "Study at ECU Australia"! I have no interest in studying anything but did visit Australia in August...

B&Q have career opportunities in Hampshire apparently. Of scant use to me as I live in Yorkshire!

Some sort of advert for Paypal which isn't that unusual, except it's all in German.

How come I'm seeing no banner? I'm using Mac but I wouldn't have thought that would affect it. I usually see one on the iPad or phone.

I’m seeing one for Marshall amps on this thread.

based just down the road from my house.

O/T i really hope they have some aged rock refugee wearing a tatty Pink Floyd 1975 tour t shirt working in a room lined with egg boxes testing each amp.

Holidays in Thailand. Something I have no interest in whatsoever!
Now changed to "Fake claims are fraudulent!"

Nothing silly for me at the moment, just an advert for a mid-market department store based mainly in the South East (who I shall not name as that will make their adverts work).

Last night I was investigating the possibility of travelling to Prague by train... I'm now getting adverts for trips to Zagreb!

Just had (what I assume) to be the same Locomotive Grease advert as per NajaB's original post!

As an aside, the banner ads seem to be causing the website to jump around a bit more than on vBulletin, maybe they'll bed down after a bit.

The space for ads seems bigger, and I'm wondering if the jumpiness is down to the website being faster and the ads not being. We also now have ads at the bottom as well as the top.

For the record, I'm currently being offered "Yacht Ownership Solutions"... Think that algorithm needs some tweaking!

I'm getting NFL GamePass on one thread (I always find it easier to read multiple threads if I open them in new tabs, rather than going back to the thread list once I've read one etc) and Office 365 on this one

I liked the Lib Dem advert in May 2017, on election night. It appeared only after voting had closed.

This afternoon i've had three different adverts for life insurance. Not sure if someone is trying to tell me something.

I'm being offered to 'make my business stand out'; who's started a business in my name?

Still more misses than hits! Right now it's skiing holidays which is at least more accurate than Yacht finance!
I've UK Bathrooms now, also had razors, an online Email login (I use Microsoft Outlook), Verifocal lenses (I don't wear glasses), Car Insurance and Cruise holidays! The add layout in Infrastructure and Station is a bit odd, though!

I don't normally see adverts when I'm on my PC or laptop, but I'm on the mobile at the moment and I'm seeing ads for Harry's Razors. My current growth has been there for at least three months now, so I'm convinced that someone somewhere is trying to send me a message!

I'm getting ads (auf Deutsch) for DB Railcards, but that's because I'm on an ICE and using DB WiFi!

Just seen an ad for the first time for £50 Economy Cass [sic] flights from the UK to China. However when I click the link I get what is presumably an error message in Chinese. There's some red text and a hyperlink that takes me back to the forum. When I go to the website homepage it seems to only be in Chinese so I cannot verify if this amazing price actually exists.

I was waiting for somebody to write a thread like this!

I took a look in the jobs and careers subforum and ever since I keep getting ad an with a air brushed photo of man with a caption next to it telling me that "9 to 5 sucks" and that I should "become a consultant". I hate seeing Sam Ovens so much now. His stupid ads keep appearing on my Facebook and even my own personal website too!

Unsurprisingly I also see a lot of ads for Trainline, hotel offers and eBay
