Got those up quick! I've only just got in (via 'spoons though - black dragon and chilli).

Despite the weather it was a great day, every vehicle I went on was a delight and for a change, the traffic in Bristol wasn't too bad.

Nice phots there Scott.

Gotta ask, what on Earth was that Dart and E300 doing there?!

Looks like it was a good day, I thoroughly enjoyed my day out on the HSTs and got Dr. Days/Rhubarb Curve in on a HST again! :D

You'd be supprised what turns up at these events. It does make me lauf, there are those who moans like hell when they have these buses in service everyday, they go to a rally then get on one again!!!!:D:D

Must admit, had a thoroughly good day bar the weather as already stated - my very own beastie perfomed commendably. Even though she wern't booked in for anything she still did four trips in the end covering for no shows, trips ran were 1023 fishponds, 1200 & 1400 Dundry (although we did turn at Bristol Airport, not wanting to get stuck in the village!) and 1500 Temple Meads. Thanks for the interest if anyone on here travelled on it, glad to be of service!

 Lets just say the driver knew where the throttle was, Mucho Thrash! :D Told a mate of mine about it who couldn't come due to other commitments and he came back saying I had that in Service in Cheltenham so he wasn't too worried about missing it!

Are you going to Stroud in June?

The God bus wasn't far behind you and that was also very fast. Mind you, it was getting near 6PM on a Sunday, I suppose it had somewhere to be!

Can't think where?;)

Should've come back on the VR with us Dennis! The offer was there:lol:

I am indeed, should be in service - think its gona be 421s or 556's (Stonehouses or Brookethorpe - Nailsworth at somepoint).

Am also doing cheltenham this weekend for anyone whos interested, definatly doing 10/11 from race course to St Margarets Coach Station, probably other trips as well. Looks set to be a good un again, there is already 50 plus vehicles booked to attend and rising. Mass departure at 1600 should be a site to see and one not been seen in that area for around 20 years now! All marking 75 years of associated motorways.

By the way, all my drivers get instructed on the correct use of the "hold" facility on the gearbox - that helps when hill climbing as well, although the kick-down works well on it as well which really helps!

I thought Cheltenham was a 'Coach' running day? Would go up as it's local but have made plans that weekend :( Hope it all goes well for you :)

It is really but as was pointed out several times to some of my mates, how many times have dupes been required or hired and no coaches were available?:D Certainly back in the 80s it was not uncomman for new service vehicles to be substituted for a coach and in particular DPs were used to replace them, not necissarily all the way but certainly some of it. There are also at least a couple of REs out on service D as well, with a guest appearence of recently re-instated vehicle which has not been out for years:D. 2062 is apparently one of the others as well.
