In all my years of frequent rail travel around Birmingham & Manchester, i've never seen:

1) Heaton Chapel & Levenshulme departures going from Plat 3 Stockport or plat zero being used for Virgin or Cross Country.

2) Pendolinos using Platforms 10,11 or 12 at Birmingham New Street

3) Cross Country or Virgin departing from Platforms 1 or 2, 11 or 12 at Manchester Piccadilly

4) Stafford P4 or 5 being used for fastest Euston services via Nuneaton

I've posted this photo on the forum before so apologies to those that have already seen it.
It's of 50008 earlier in the year in platform 6 at Exeter st David's, that's unusual in itself but what's also unusual is the HST in platform 5 with its red tail lights showing as that's usually the north bound platform, but as well as that the Voyager leaving platform 3 and heading north is something I'd never seen before as I've only ever seen them go north from platform 5 (the one HST is in), or occasionally platform 6.

I've never seen a Pendolino at Platform 1 at Wick...

On a serious note, I seem to recall once seeing a 350 at Platform 11 at New Street. I wish I'd got a pic as that is really quite unusual.

1C91 the evening Paddington - Paignton Train (M-F) is booked to use P5 to allow the Paddington - Penzance train (1C92) to overtake.

I didn't know that. You're obviously local iantherev, have you seen a Voyager in platform 3 before?

Any more?

Since Pendolinos would be travelling on the Up or Down Stour why would you cross them across the "Midland" lines without very, very good reason?

When I was a dispatcher I dispatched a Pendo from Platform 1 at Piccadilly just the once when there was disruption. Dispatching a Pendo from Platform 13/14 is a nightmare!

Platform 4 at Bournemouth doesn't see much if anything stop there, afaik all downs use either platforms 2 or 3. Can't remember when platform 1 was last used for a service train

I've never seen any C2C services in any platform at London Victoria.

In a similar manner, I have never seen the St Erth - St Ives shuttle in any platform at Glasgow Central.

;)

It's been a tidy while since I last saw or heard of a Pendo on those platforms!

I've never been on a train to Wick from Inverness which has departed from platform 7. I've arrived into it but not gone out from it.

You won't see a HST use platform 1 at Bristol Temple Meads as it can only just about squeeze 4 carriages on. You occasionally see a Voyager there though! :D

I've seen a Voyager in every platform at EXD including the Bay! I have also worked through 1 and been through 3 on a voyager previously too.

Anything from Doncaster platform 2 for a few years now.

Platform 2 has seen sporadic use over the past few months, it is now possible for EMT to arrive from Lincoln into it. A number of trains have made use of this since it was made possible.

You'll never see a through service stop at Platform 3 at both Perth and Dunblane.

Is it possible to cross from the Stour lines to 10, 11 and 12 at New Street?
