1973 Stock Rail Adhesion Trains

Does anyone know which are the two 1973 Stock units which have been withdrawn for conversion to Tube RAT use please?

Yes thank you; the pictures provided the answer; for the benefit of anyone else wondering, it appears the two units are:

868 - 668 - 869

890 - 690 - 891

...which also suggests if you haven't got them for haulage already, it's too late to do so...

But the A60s that it was inserted into prior to 2010 where passenger service units, and returned to it thereafter.

But the two P-RATs have been converted on a temporary basis, it's part of the project spec if you dig through the TfL, Renewals and/or Rolling Stock Renewals Board papers.

Yes, it has some of the seats lifted and sandier tanks and other equipment fitted (photos are in the link above). Following testing and training with the Test Train Operators, it has now been decided that the trains will have to run as a 6 car, so another single ended unit will be added to each of the units converted, but they will not have any modifications.

Only one of them is for that function, it's mainly due to the grab rails being used to secure the sandite equipment into position.
