Does it go to Rail Delivery Group to fund whatever it is they do? Get shared out to the TOCs using ORCATS? Network Rail? Staff Christmas party funds?

Also, is there a difference in who gets the cash if it's a local railcard as opposed to a national railcard?

Just curious!

I believe it goes to RDG, at least for the national cards.

Goes to RDG and subsidises member fees.

TOCs get commission on every one they sell.

Individual staff on unrestructured contracts in ex-NSE area (and maybe restructured contracts which were negotiated by persons with a keen eye for detail) get commission for each Network Railcard they sell.

I get that but have never bothered to claim it, I pass it on to my colleagues. Further down the line where everybody seems to have one I suspect it's a nice little earner!
