Yeah we got it a few months ago. 3.7% (or potentially 3.2) increase on £23462 ish (I left my payslip at work)

I've only just started (few weeks) and also my contract stated £23462 when i signed it (early august). Which salary will i get? Old or the new increased one?

That was the old salary and it's probably an oversight by them getting you to sign an old contract. You will be on £24214 for sure.

Full time drivers duties average out to 7 hours 12 minutes each over the course of the roster, whereas Night tube drivers are all 8 hours (plus 30 min unpaid meal relief).

In order to balance out the roster, there are a number of "snip turns," these can be as little as 4 hours (plus meal relief). Further, some duties might include a part of train work and part DMI [Duty Manager's Instructions, effectively acting as spare for part of the duty] and accordingly there is no need for there to be split shifts to cover the peaks.

Thanks for the welcome, been a lurker here for around 12-15 months, but never signed up as I always found most questions I was thinking had already been asked and answered.

I did notice not that long ago, there was a story about the Piccadilly Line having such a shortage of W/E night drivers that it was being called a crisis. If that story is true, is that likely to speed up the process to get the training started so that they can get the required number of drivers ready sooner?

True story mate. Acton Town was down to 6 odd NT drivers just a couple of weeks ago. The fact that they've asked you guys to sit assessments means that, yes, NT recruitment is being focused on for the moment. But at the same time it's impossible to know which line you'll be sent to until your first day of training. I know the recent media attention, and also of this forum, has been on the Picc NT, but I do wonder how exactly the other lines are doing for staff numbers. Maybe someone can shed some light on this?

We do but they are much bigger so would prefer starting with something smaller and easier to handle

So have just gone through the practice materials provided in the email confirming my appointment and feel confident with how to do the different tests, but was wondering on the day, what sort of scores do you need to pass?

I don't believe they tell you. External candidates aren't entitled to feedback if failed, whilst internals can ask where they slipped up. My personal experience was that there was sufficient time for all tasks and I know it's easy to say this now but really do try and relax, it's not as bad as you think it's going to be and the only pressure will be that which you put on yourself.

As for the finding shapes/SCAAT test I'd say don't overdo it in practice as repeating the same paper defeats the purpose, if anything try and download different ones through a quick Google search. Also when doing the real one, don't even dream of completing each sheet to the end, they're looking for a balance of accuracy and speed rather than for someone who can complete the whole page, besides I think you'd have to be a robot to reach the end of each sheet anyway! Good luck mate.

Cheers for the answer, I did make a couple of mistakes on the practise material, but looking back, I know where I did mess up, so am feeling pretty relaxed, lets see if that remains in the days beforehand.
