Carry on with your trip reports and photos. All good stuff for us to read.

yeah the chippy at belper is great, leave the station and walk up the main shopping street-takes about 2 or 3 minuitesMost certainly an enjoyable evening! The beer festival tickles my fancy, it must be said. If you have any further gen I'd love to hear it. Good to know Belper has something worth popping in for, I need the shack there and will need something to do there. Now I know of a decent chippy, I'll be happy

) after half an hour it was back to leeds for another run to castleford on 144008, from there it was time to clear the line to goole and the second tide of the day on 142089 & 153328 (me and 2 others got off at goole and one of those was a enthusiast

)from there it was 483004 to smallbrook Junction to have a ride on the isle of wight steam railway, sadly 41298 was out of service so Hunslet Austerity WD 198 was working .After a look round Haven street and the train story exibition it was back behind the kettle to wooton and then back to smallbrook junction for another ride on 483004 to sandown for a walk to the pier for something to eat ,then back on 004 to shanklin and then straight back to Ryde esplanade for a walk over the pier back to the ferry terminal.Back on the mainland it was 158960 from portsmouth to winchester and then 220027 from winchester to reading for an hours Vegging (a few frieghts and a pair of IEPS) then it was a hst (43198 &43088) to Paddington for a bit of KFC and then the Night Rivera to penzance and my first experience of the refurbished Spleeper coaches (57605 was the loco for tonight) so day one over and i finally got to clear the isle of wight line althiough i did'nt get off at Brading or lake so i may have to return one day

) after a sausage sandwich and a tea from the cafe i boarded a HST to paddington(43024 & 43127) but by exeter st davids the weather improved so i bailed to get a 143 for a ride up to exmouth and after a walk round another one to Exeter Central for a 159 move to waterloo (had to get off at Salisbury as another pair of 159s were added) got the bus from waterloo to St Pancras for the class 222 back to sheffield (which was absolutley wedged as it was a 4 car set in place of a 7 car set),so day 2 was a bit of a washout but i still managed to clear the exmouth branch (and clear my last 143 for sight

I thought that pier railway had closed?
so it was a ride up to Holt and stopped off on return to Weybourne as the Class 101 unit was also working which brought back memorys of my bashing trips in the 80s and 90s doing GM Wayferers from sheffield to manchester via the hope valley
On return back to sherringham it was back on another 156 back to norwich.from there on it was a move to Ipswich (90009) for an hour's vegging then a return back to norwich on another 90 set (getting them in whilst i can

How did the gateline staff at Blackpool cope with your ALR?![]()
