Tunnel lighting in Thameslink core

I noticed for the first time today that the Thameslink core tunnels between St Pancras and Blackfriars have been fitted with orange sodium lights, all of which were switched on today. They were also visible in the tunnel leading north from St Pancras, which meant that the junction with the Canal Tunnels was much easier to see than usual.

I wonder if they are just switched on today because of some weekend engineering work, or whether they are to be left on at all times?

I remember them being on a few years back between Farrington and St. P. It'll probably be off tomorrow.

Most likely overnight works, and left on by mistake. Takes one driver to inform the signaller to switch them of.

And if anything like LU that call will come very quick. Drivers hate having tunnel lights on, it's an uncomfortable experience and certainly doesn't aid signal sighting.
