Wow. That's a jump.

Aren't they now the same prices as the young persons/old persons discounted public fare?

I've already seen a claim that these are the prices if bought from International Rail or Voyages SNCF. If you buy at the desk at St Pancras the old prices still stand.

I note the prices reflect a one-for-one parity between the Pound & the Euro e.g. 69 Pounds London to Paris Return; 69 Euros Paris to London Return.

The decline in the Pound is really starting to hurt people's pockets in the UK.....

Before we jump right into panic mode its not uncommon (and hasn't been for quite a while) to see pound and euro prices for certain things being one to one.

No panic mode here; just realism.

At present exchange rates, trips on Eurostar -and holidays to the Continent generally- are going to cost us Brits a lot more.

The old prices did apply to St Pancras and Rail Canterbury as they use the direct Eurostar booking system, whereby IR use DB or SNCB's system. Eurostar were made aware of this anomoly and "downloaded! new fares fom Tuesday 7th.

Fares are now as per the same, although IR do convert from Euros to GBP
