Then go look at a Tesla 3. You might not like it, but 300 mile range on a single charge is possible today.
It isn't 300 miles on a single charge. It's just over 200 miles on a single charge and then another 170 after 30 minutes if you plug into one of their super chargers. Doing that super charging regularly will damage the batteries. Around London and short trips, yes they will be perfectly viable and I expect to see more and more battery cars in London in the next 5-10. Replacing the ICE on long distance? Long long way off. Setting a rash target of 2040 for completely banning sales of ICE vehicles? Utterly ridiculous.....
