Customer Host - Worcester Shrub Hill Station.
Closing Date: 14 August 2017
Salary £22,305 - £23,105.
Contracted Hours: 35 per week.

What you’ll be doing

Your main responsibilities will be:

To be an ambassador for Great Western Railway by delivering the best customer experience and a safe journey
To welcome customers and assist them with their journey, providing information and customer care, at all times but especially when the service is disrupted
To provide an at-seat service of complimentary items and to take orders and deliver items sold items to customers travelling in first class
To work in the Express Café, selling hot and cold drinks, a range of sandwiches, snacks and other items to customers
To sell items from an at-seat trolley service in standard class
To order stock and ensure correct stock rotation and attractive display of items
To maintain a clean, hygienic and pleasant environment

a retail background would be ideal, as you will be working on buffet cars / trolley service.

fantastic foot in the door to becoming traincrew if you wish.

I have applied for this role, I was so happy to see Worcester depot!

I currently work in retail and have been airline cabin crew but I am hoping to start a career on the railway so fingers crossed!:D

If you take it seriously and have the right attitude. A lot of them think they've a right to it and as a result don't get near it

Must be a fine line to show your keen without being too quiet or bullish .

Well done! I've got my telephone interview tomorrow for Customer Host in Cardiff!

Coming from Costa I hope I stand a chance as I've covered a lot of the things I imagine they'd be expecting. Fingers crossed!
