TPE Route Learning ( York to Doncaster )

There's some diversions over the weekend of the 5th and 6th August due to Huddersfield PSB being transferred over to the control of York ROC. TPE Manchester Airport to Newcastle services are diverted via the South TPE route as far as Doncaster then up the ECML. 
I believe the TPE have been route learning between York & Doncaster today. Does anybody know why. Have I missed something ?
Not sure how long they have been ding it, but certainly have done these on Wednesday and Thursday of this week.

May also provide useful in the future as some fo their units will be maintained at Doncaster.

I would be surprised if it stayed on the route card. TPE didn't keep via Retford when Hatfield Colleriery casused issues nor did they learn an alternative route when Selby swingbridge was part of a planned blockade not long after.

The route is being added to the cards of Sheffield TPE drivers. The eventual plan is that those drivers will take Hitachi units from Doncaster depot to York and back as part of their duties.
At the moment obviously this is a new route for diversions when the North pennine route via Huddersfield is shut during August.
