One further question for everyone, which ATW DVT is at Crewe LNWR (Now called Arriva Traincare)? I'm hoping it's 82306!

67020 hauled 82306 (and nothing else) from Cardiff to Crewe C.S. (which I think is what is LNWR/Arriva Traincare) on Thursday (29 June) - 5Z23.

So looking promising - hopefully someone can confirm 100% that was what you saw.

The Arriva DVT was still there when I went past today - attached to the Arriva 08 shunter. I caught a glimpse of the number and would say 90% sure it was 82306!

Pretty sure that would be 66716 "Locomotive and Carriage Institution Centenary 1911" (!!) on 4L18 Trafford Park Euro Terminal to Felixstowe North - was running c.30 mins late and passed Basford Hall Jnc at 16:05 which fits.

On my travels to Cardiff again Friday night and returning Sunday evening so fingers crossed for Canton. Also worth knowing if 68026 upwards or any of the 88s are expected in London or Cardiff.

70813 has been in/around Westbury yards last two weeks. Don't know its plans for the weekend. Not looking too promising for Cardiff/London though.

Don't think you'll have much luck with the 68s/88s either,but you never know. The 88s that have been released into traffic are either on the Daventry-Mossend Tesco circuit or testing/driver training at the more northern end of the WCML. Not aware of any due to be in Wales/London.

The 'new' 68s are pretty much all getting trips with a (slightly) older 68 on the nuclear flasks as part of their inductions. Your best bet is looking out for the flask workings, but I believe most of them are in the NW/Scotland, so that may draw a blank too.

There's no such unit as 808 anymore. The 2 end coaches are now 158889 and is at EMT on long term hire.
