DMU Ident help....

Hi, all. . . I'm new here with a query on the identity of the DMU below (in Philippine National Railways service in late 70's to early/mid-90's)... Specs and/or side drawings, manufacture are greatly appreciated....

Not a clue what it is, but it looks like some kind Metro car. The design of the front end is reminiscent of the trains they used to run in Stockholm, but the lights are in a different place.

Thanks for responding! I'd appreciate direction to the image of the similar Stockholm train your mention above...hope is still high and perhaps I could take it from there.. this is what I've done so far with this "little obsession" and aggravation .. I did a proportioning sketches to determine what could be the drive mechanism...






Still there's indecision as there's no definiteness in what I've done (exercise in futility) Thanks, again..Best regards . . .

Via Flickr I found the train to be a PNR CMC. They are all numbered CMC-xxx. The train in question, CMC-375. Has been scrapped according to online sources.

These trains were made in Japan. I believe they used to be operated by Toyku Company of Japan.

The above page has some vague information on it and has it labelled as just "Diesel Car".

It may be worth contacting the sites owner to see if they have any more information

I am a fan of that railcar. Since my childhood I have been watching that train near our home. I am a member of the Rhispi its a railway society in the Philippines. I am also searching for information about the missing part of its paint job. I believe there is some PNR logo near the other door. I hope to see your work when you are finished with it.

It's nice to know of someone sharing a common liking to the PNR railcar... Perhaps you could remember this color scheme 10 years hence from the first posted picture ( the light blue/blue color scheme is what I remembered these cars wore when I rode them to Carmona Estate when I did monitoring work for the NHA in 1976/79) :

Thanks, too, on the kind words on the model project... I'll post it somewhere here when it's done.. It's on the workbench concurrent with the model of PNR U-15C . . . By the way, if you have the PNR logo "near the other door" I'd like to see it.. that would be added enhancement to the correctness of the model.. I'm only aware of the "Metro Rail" logo on side just after the second door (as can be seen from first pic) . . Regards
