in the north west fleet, there is only Barrow and Lillyhall that have 709d's. not sure how many other region's have.
Barrow is supposed to be getting one of Lillyhall's 709d's, but i'm not sure if it has been transferred yet. 40006. it was listed as being transferred, but i seen it here after the list was released.
709d's will slowly disappear though. Lillyhall supposed to be replacing another 5 at some point, and theres still some to disappear from the arrival of 33167 and 33168.

anyone in the Whitehaven area may see JB Pickthall's Leyland National running school services again. this is due to his "new" yellow school bus being involved in an accident!!!

20757 and possibly another B10m were out on 31's.
25225 was also on 31.
20761 was on 31A.
we followed 52626 out of Workington this morning as it was heading back to Lillyhall depot for whatever reason.
20734 on BNG Contract.
16733, 16734 and 14257 on school work this afternoon.

17024s rear LED has failed already...doesn't bode well.
21004 has received an LED, alongside 21003 which already has one.

Nothing else to say, a mate says that 18358 (Wainwright) failed last night, but as it was on the "wrong" side of the bus station, I suspect the driver was just taking a break after a Dallam School run (and who wouldn't!)

47936 (Preston bus 36) and 47938 (Preston bus 38 ) at Lillyhall for "temporary storage". the other 4 metroriders due to join them next week, along with 2 Leyland Lynx's.
chances are they will sit at Lillyhall until sold.

They will be sold fairly quickly I imagine...Lynxs may take a little longer and may even end up in preservation.

Saw 52635 (Jonck Mistral S665SDT) this morning, it was on the A66 heading for Penrith. It pased the Braithwaite turn off at 8.30-ish.

I think you might find that the two Lynx's will end up at Morecambe for storage, at least, that's was the original plan. Yes, all 6 MetroRiders will be at Lillyhall by early next week. Also, there are at least 23 vehicles due to be moved from Deepdale Road to Selbourne Street this weekend. This involves s/d Scania's, Solo's, Tridents and an Olympian.
Noted today was Solo 47787 [87] with new Orbit branding on the Stagecoach livery.
Also Dart SLF 34797 from Gillmoss was at Deepdale Road

Yeah 18358 did fail. It had liquid leaking from the engine and the driver was on the phone to Kendal when I passed by.

Nice to see a new LED in 21004. Shame about 17024. It wont get fixed for ages either. 18327's rear LED has been broken for months and still not been repaired.

Noticed that some PB drivers are now wearing Stagecoach uniform, the ones I saw were driving a Metrorider on the 3 (City-Penwortham) Many buses sporting both Stagecoach and Preston Bus logos, and the Orbit 88A/88C Solos are now in Stagecoach livery (former No.85 definitely is)

Yes, due to the fact that SC have lost some contracts. There's no solid evidence of where they're going yet, so we'll be waiting for the P12 fleetcard I think!

I'm sure I was going to mention something else, but I can't remember what it was! Something along the lines of "Hopefully Lancaster will get some Solos to replace the B6s"

The Leylands have been relegated to Garstang Schools work I think, although 14208 has been a regular on the 1545 (I think it is) 81A service to Kirkby Lonsdale, this is a very heavily loaded service, full and standing, because of the schools.


The B6s are on 7 Vale - Marsh runs mainly these days, vice Solos, so it would make sense to have 2 more Solos...

Yeah the only time I ever see Leylands is when their on schools which is good coz its what their good at lol. Yeah the B6s do knock around these routes but your right two more solos would be great and complete the look as it were lol.

Stagecoach North West will lose 75/76/80/82 The Fylde Villager to Cumfybus and Coastal Coaches will take over running these services from 29th March.

I'm just trying to find a more up to date list of the numbering series, the one currently uploaded is from 2004 so is rather dated.
Looking at it closely, I see that the Lancaster Javelins were unique in the national number system.

Interesting to note that 14557 (107), is due to move from Deepdale Rd to Selbourne St.

I saw this bus, heading north along the A6, on Friday morning about 7.30 near Cabus, with 14535 (125).

I am surprised that two lynx's are to remain in service.
