After recent elections I no longer trust the polls. There are a lot of people out there who like Labours policies and like what they see of Jeremy Corbyn but come Thursday I suspect many of them will still vote Tory.

I've never been one for the polls myself, but it has been encouraging to see the anti Tory vote has growing. Time will tell on whether it has grown enough and if enough people in the 18-24 age bracket actually go out and vote, I think that's going to be key.

The problem is they generally don't. The Brexit referendum might well have been very different if they had.

Unfortunately, yes. If young people (and anyone, for that matter) really want to make their voices heard, then they have to go and vote for it, instead of just saying "I support (party/party leader)". Casting your vote is what counts the most.

I've encouraged as many of my friends in that age group as I can to go and vote, and most, if not all of them, are intending to go and cast their vote for their respective choice on Thursday.

Given the experience of recent elections I no longer trust polls and so I don't trust this one either.

I think they are over-estimating the number of Lib-Dem seats, which will possibly stay less than 10. I suspect that the tories will probably get a majority of around 20 - 30.

Mrs May will be safe until at least just before the next election (2021/22), but may be at risk if the opinion polls turn bad for the tories some months before the next election. No idea who would replace her.

The Brexit referendum may have served as a wake-up call to the younger generation, in that their future may potentially be ruined by their elders if they did not get off their backside and vote.

Not saying any of the above is my personal opinion, but it is a strong possibility for what actually happens in the next few days.

I think they are over-estimating the number of Lib-Dem seats, which will possibly stay less than 10.

It really depends, if enough people vote tactically in places like Bath (where there is a close Tory v Lib Dem vote), then the Lib Dems should have a mini revival (even if that is more anti Tory rather than pro Lib Dem!).

Hywel Williams of Plaid Cymru. I'm aware of a number of PC supporters switching to Labour at this election, but, of course, only time will tell....

Why do you think that? I have reservations about Boris, but he has a track record of electoral success in London, something the Conservatives currently lack, and I think he could connect with younger voters in a way which May didn't manage to.
