Nothing that Amber Rudd has said has gained even a smattering of applause.
She's probably got an earpiece from Tory HQ.

Tory candidate's blogposts on rape 'absolutely shocking'
Darlington candidate, Peter Cuthbertson, wrote about rape, homosexuality and morality in prominent blog in early 2000s
this really is terrible - no depth or body to any of this. Just childish squabbling. An open goal for Corbyn. He really cant lose here although the damage to May is also limited
Farron, Robertson and Lucas have all done quite well. Nuttall and Rudd both shot themselves in the foot, especially Nuttall with his comments on Islam.
At least May did not do a u-turn on the decision to participate unlike Corbyn
I can't really blame her after watching that debacle that purported to be a debate. Where is DD when you need a steady anchorman or even LK for an anchorwoman on the BBC.
Six against one poor Amber did her best !!
Blair or Hague would have taken them to the cleaners.
I'm now wishing I'd gone to the bookies a fortnight ago and got some very good odds for the Tories winning fewer seats this time than in 2015. I'm convinced now that, though they may gain a smattering in some Brexit towns and maybe one or two in Scotland, they'll lose more than they gain. If I'm right, at the very least their overall majority would decline, and they might lose it altogether. You can almost see the power seeping away: another fortnight should do it (I might be the only person who wants the campaign prolonged).
Blair refused to do debates!
Where do you think the votes will go? I just can't see Corbyn picking them up, and Farron's campaign has been even more flat than May's. I can't see the Conservatives doing worse than last time. Perhaps the result will be similar, a few Conservative gains from SNP, a slight Lib Dem improvement amounting to a couple of seats, and not much else changing.

In the case of Kemptown with a 600ish Tory majority, it is only their 10th most marginal seat. They had Lady Luck on their side in 2015, and lightning doesn't strike twice.![]()
Ummm, actually.... Lightning Myths....
Somebody also won the lottery jackpot twice, and I don't believe they worked for Camelot.Amber Rudd's father passed away on Monday, and yet May still sent her in to the debate.
For May not to step in and take part in the debate that she should have done in the first place disgusts me.
Yes, it would have been a perfect reason to join the debate and not be accused of a u-turn. Even if she asked Rudd how she felt, a decent leader wouldn't have given her a choice, I'll do the debate, you go off and get some time with your family.Amber Rudd's father passed away on Monday, and yet May still sent her in to the debate.

I did watch it. If May can't cope with what was fired at Amber Rudd, what makes you think that she'll make a decent fist of anything else?If you actually watched the "debate" you might have some inkling as to why May didn't want to take part and Corbyn was a late addition.

At least this Election is seemingly no longer a foregone conclusion like some in recent years with both Labour or Tory victories almost pre-ordained in 79,83,87,97,01,05.
Who knows what David Dimbleby will be announcing at 2200 on Thursday 8th June when the Exit Poll details are revealed.![]()
It's remarkable how Labour has become a one man party. Time and time again on forums and Youtube I see people say "I'm voting Corbyn" as though they live in his constituency. Back in the day I don't remember anyone saying "I'm voting Callaghan" or "I'm voting Kinnock" .

I for one liked Tim Farrons opening speech for tonights election, a good attack on May :P
