Competition 311 is EWS, i'd say providing the train is a) Operated by EWS or b) In EWS livery then it would be acceptable, option b) would be better if you have a choice of photos though

Sounds like loads of my photos! I generally manage to miss the first couple of feet off the loco - gives the driver a bit of a problem though

I just looked at it, it is not suitable, because the only way you know it is EWS is by my word, for all you know it could be bin-liner or GBRF

Whilst there is plenty of opportunity for an entry this week I'm not surprised by the questions really. Valley line loco-hauled services, charter trains, freight hire-ins. My main question is if a train with an EWS loco on other TOC stock or freight wagons is acceptable, would a non-EWS loco on an EWS trainload be acceptable? I've already made my entry now, but it would add yet more variety to the possible entries for this week. It should surely be a bumper crop this time around.

I myself have agonised over a lot of shots, and it has left me with the luxury of choosing between a multitude of different ones all taken in perfect conditions. Without revealing anything obvious of my entry, below are a couple that I have decided NOT to enter (whether my decision is correct or not shall be decided by the voters, but I guess one of these could or should have been my entry).

As I said in the first post, providing at least some of the train is:

a) Operated by EWS
or
b) In EWS livery

Then thats fine, but i'll leave people to judge what they want to enter as usual!

Any rejected entrants will have the chance to enter again before the competition starts, if you really don't know if your photo will be accepted, upload it and then inform me and i'll take a look straight away
