The Taunton to Cardiff/Bristol local services that reverse in platforms 2 or 3 after the incoming service has arrived from the Bristol direction use the crossover at Taunton East when they depart.

I've managed to book. The T&Cs are on the Eventbrite page at the bottom I think. The discount code is like what you find on those money saving websites so legit to use.

HST only till lydeard, Hst returns to Taunton and western takes passengers to minehead using own carriages

43002 (London end) + Green coaches + 43185 already formed up and I believe was in service today

The fact that the General Manager for the WSR was unaware of any changes for this coming Saturday confirms that the UNOFFICIAL WSR page is on this occasion wrong and has jumped the gun.

The fact also that the organisers haven't been informed by the WSR also leads me to belive that D1010 will still appear bearing any further battery faults. After all it was fixed and operational on Sunday.
