A link was posted a while ago that said three pacer units would be painted green - one for each line they serve. No idea if this is still happening though. The external livery is looking quite tired now, especially on/around the doors.

Because their days may be numbered

It wasn't in the original plan as both the 143, 150/1s and 153s were all due to leave the franchise. However, as we've seen with the 153s now receiving green that plan has changed and there is a plan to paint some of the 143s in green and advertising liveries ala 153325/333 as well. I'll dig out the info when I'm back on a PC tonight.

Ah, that's why I didn't see it, as I was doing a morning shift yesterday, not my usual afternoon one.

Hopefully will see 165 108 out and about tomorrow!

Unlikely, it's on the maintenance list for post C6 checks but had to take a back seat today due to other work taking priority. May get bumped up or down the list depending on what else is planned or more than likely what goes pop over the next few days

1 car HSTs confirmed? :D :D

It's GWRs new 153 Replacement. In a bid to combat regular complaints by Drivers about how slow they are and cramped in one cab, 1 car Super Mini HSTs will be available soon. Soon to come to a Devon and Cornwall branchline near you!*

I noted 150238 (otherwise known as 150938) today in Southampton having lost the undamaged half of 150219 and is now back to its original formation and number.

Can we look forward to a complete 150219 making an appearance soon?

Have heard through Facebook that 0800 Cardiff to Paignton today formed:-

153318 153305 153368

Very colourful. The 2 newly GWR liveried ones with Casper boxed in between

The rear unit (booked 153) should detach from a 150 at Exeter on the way back on 1248 Paignton to Cardiff but 368 detached on the way down instead

Reported elsewhere that the first class 180 goes off lease this weekend.

Oh wow. I feel like that snuck up on us..

Id imagine that they'd immediately go to Grand Central?

Thanks,
Ross

Yes 108 is in Green but has no GWR branding, its booked in this weekend, when I said Graphics work, I just meant to have all the GWR decals affixed.

Having scan-read the last few pages, I got all excited and thought we were on about 150108! I now presume, having calmed down, that we are in fact referring to 43108?! :D:oops:

***Even more perplexed now, having researched and established that there is no longer a 43108! So 150 it is then?!

Tracking back up the thread, I think the reference is to 165108, which has been out and about in the Thames Valley this week without the full GWR branding applied yet.

Yes, just to clarify, I was on about 165108.

Memo to self - use the full unit number in future :lol:
