Hiya, does anyone know if the Chiltern loco-hauled diagrams are staying the same today? Not sure if 1H27 & 1R53 are being altered to run as units instead. Thanks very much in advance!

Thanks for checking, although due to the football (Rangers V Celtic) i decided to bail from Glasgow as fast as possible, so the only ones on that list which might pop up are the 158s if down from Inverness

I've been looking to grab some photos of 334001 and 314201 for a few weeks now but haven't seen them out and about in the Glasgow area. I'm beginning to wonder if they are not in service at the moment (rather than me just being unfortunate and missing them). I'd be grateful if someone would advise their current locations or (even better) advise what they are working today.

Passed the area an hour ago and only thing at the Sidings apart from 387 units was a tamper - sorry don't know the No ! But it (shouldn't) be a loco.

66111 was at Acton on engineers wagons pointing towards reading
70807 on loaded ballast and dropping outside paddington

thanks for that yeah seen 70807 outside paddington 66115 was on ballast wagons at acton yard too

Southbound into Crewe from Sandbach on DBS ballast wagons c.1330

Intermodal through Stockport c.1350

There's a thread for the new Colas 70s here - might want to ask this Q on there as may get seen by folk with more info on when the moves will take place:

They had been sat on their transport trailers on the dockside since arriving, however two cranes arrived over the weekend and unloaded them today I believe. Suggests they'll be on the move shortly.

Their official depot base if Rugby, but most of the other new Colas 70s are based at Westbury most of the time. Someone will know more specifically where/when they're going...

66040 is showing as allocated to 6L11 (the first one on your list) - EWS maroon/gold liveried.


As godfreycomplex says, no freight it seems going through Stockport around 13:50 yesterday though. The ones nearest to the approx. time you state (ones recorded either side) were:

Freightliner 66560 on 6J34 Runcorn Folly Lane to Brindle Heath Refuse Transfer Station which passed at 12:33.

Freightliner 66554 on 4E10 Fiddlers Ferry Power Station to Ferrybridge Power Station (coal train I assume) which passed through at 14:07.

The second one is pretty close time-wise, but don't think it would've been an intermodal...
