I emailed Rebecca today regarding that. Got my start date offer 3 weeks ago but no contract or official offer.
My start date is a long way off so I wouldn't expect it for months but just after some confirmation. I have always found Rebecca replies fast but I got a reply saying she is AL back tomorrow so I would expect a couple of days.
Yeah I've had to chase my contract today, if they want me to start in May I've got till the end of the week to give my notice.
Hopefully she'll come back to me tomorrow!
Have you just been emailing Rebecca? Or somebody else? I've been trying to contact her for the past 10 days with regards to a start date, I don't suppose you have a different contact?

She has been on leave until today so she might be playing catch up this week.

Does the route even stop at Leeds? From the times I've been on this train, it goes Darlington/Durham - York - Doncaster.
So maybe the people attached to the Leeds depot don't actually need to go there at all, and get parking at York.
Leeds is a terminus station on the East Coast route. There is an actual depot there drivers, guards, on board CSA the lot. From doncaster trains to Newcastle/Edinburgh goes direct to York via one route and the leeds services go via another route from doncaster. Although I think there is one direct service from Leeds in the morning to Edinburgh or Glasgow.
If you haven't seen it watch the programme inside Kings Cross, quite interesting.

I'm dying to see what the pay will be like for trainees. I know it's increments but how much and for how long . I've seen mentioned in here that is roughly £25 k starting but is that for the whole first year or just untill you pass rules at around 6 month ?

I wouldn't expect a quick reply on your contract if I was you. Got my start date for 23rd October over 3 weeks ago and still nothing. Just a waiting game! Congratulation tho!
Cheers. What Depot you in for? She did say it could be a few weeks because they are processing earlier courses.This whole process has been the ultimate waiting game!

That's fair enough! I am London! I would expect us to be in same course tho. And then move to out respective depots.

Nice one pal. Did you ask to start in October as the first course is may isn't it?
No i asked for the June course if possible but got told that is now full and the next one with spaces is October.
