Unusual Southeastern workings, 18/19 Mar

Various line closures around Bickley/Chislehurst plus a blockade of the Eastern side at London Bridge making for some interesting workings. There's a Blackfriars - Gravesend service using 376s, which I've never seen before at Blackfriars. Here's one at Denmark Hill:

That's why they're using 376s - all those grab poles make it easier for the passengers when the train's at that kind of 180° angle.

Is this the furthest the 376s have ever run in service? Seams a long way on those luxurous seats lol.

I rarely venture into SE land these days, but I saw a 376 on a passenger service at Sevenoaks on a terminator once. Might've been covering for a Networker but it was in service.

SE Hastings trains also running via Redhill this weekend...although this has become more commonplace during London Bridge works.

Yes I saw that combination yesterday (though not upside down oddly ). Personally I have a grudge with 376s, less comfortable than the 465/66 seating and no toilets, while they don't sound or ride as nicely I feel compared to the Networkers The 375/377s though are better for their higher speed, tables and toilets.

As such I'm quite glad I've never seen 376s run to Blackfriars or Victoria, until yesterday, so its thankful I didn't get one then. I traveled from Crayford to Blackfriars earlier today but that was a 465 formation

Saw a southeastern 375 stop at redhill which I din't expect assumed they went fast to london bridge or whatever terminus they go to

Presumably they replace southern workings from tonbridge and stop all shacks he ce why southeastern drivers drive southern units to keep up route knowledge

They never appear on 'normal' Vic/Blackfriars workings because most of the suburban stations are max 8 cars.

Daily, many many times.

Gravesend is also very common. Furthest passenger service I know of was Tonbridge. Vic/Blackfriars are rare but increasingly regular for the Thameslink project. I expect to see more in the coming weeks.

8 Car limitation isn't an issue as they can be 5 cars too.

when taking landscape pictures to avoid this glitch...

I think that the 376s are diagrammed on some of the off peak Sevenoaks terminators now, seem to turn up there quite frequently.
