How about the Hastings Unit from Tenterden Town to Saint-Valery Quai via the Channel Tunnel & return. Just needs about a mile and a half of track reinstating and it's a possibility.

It's not so much a wish of mine (my interest in steam is fairly limited) but the Abbey Flyer user group ABFLY have announced on their Facebook page today that they have aspirations to run steam hauled passenger trains between Watford Junction & St. Albans Abbey on Sunday 6th May 2018 to mark the 160th anniversary of the line, apparently with London Midland's endorsement.

Here in Bristol we have a long rake of Mk 1s during the summer months for the steam to Torbay. It usually only runs once or twice a week, so it could be used for just such a service. A Western round the Avonmouth loop anyone?
