Just done some searching - If it was the one shown on the link, then yes, it was definitely only a demonstration.

Is that all 150275 has done since returning to Newton Heath on 16th February - 1 trip from Manchester - Southport?

It also did the return working 2J78 where upon arrival at Man Vic it was taken out of service and driven to Newton Heath. Find attached a photo of it at Man Vic after I rode on it from Walkden.

319461 also has a new accessible toilet

It does indeed, also the '2' side of the seating under the pantograph has been changed into an all airline layout. Is today the first day 361 has been out do you know?

Seems to have gone very quiet. I'm still a bit confused as to who's doing what.
Brodies Kilmarnock 158's
Wabtech Kilmarnock ?
Wabtech Doncaster ?
Other?
K
Brodies are currently doing 155 & 158
Wabtec Kilmarnock have done 150275
Wabtec Doncaster, Arriva Traincare Crewe and Springburn have just been doing corrosion, disabled toilet etc and PIS system on 150 at Doncaster and 156 for the other two.
Wolverton have been looking at 319 and 323s but not sure what they've done

Ah cheers. Have Northern deigned to put USB ports on their newly refurbished 158's or are they just screwing around with the seats (as previous posters would suggest)?

Not yet. Northern apparantly doing the refurbs in numerous stages.. first stage was to get the design etc and majority of the refurb done. Then going to focus at a later date on fitting the wifi and on board connectivity.

There is as you say 1 158 that does have USB.. think it's a 2 car and only 1 of the cars has it fitted.

319362 & 319448 went north through Crewe earlier in the same white / dark blue doors as 319361.

A white 156 this time in the "full" Northern livery also went north through Crewe earlier, though I don't know which one.

Still needs a dark window surround.

I don't think that would work on this particular livery, personally. With the dark blue swoop being where it is on the carriage body, I think a dark window surround would clash with the dark blue and spoil the look of what in my view is quite a bright and smart livery

which depot this allocated too?

Thanks for that, hopefully means I should see it somewhere in GM when it comes into service

Not being deliberately negative here, but even what's a refurbished unit still hasn't received LED bodyside hazard lights nor HID/LED cab end lighting units. This really doesn't scream the transformational change the company have been promising. Nevertheless the colour scheme whilst impractical in its ability to hide dirt does really suit. I wonder whether the class 333 fleet will see an entirely vinyl livery application when it comes to their refurbishment?

The refurbishment is being done in stages, I'm sure they'll be added at some point.

I assume there are penalties for late completion, but the only real deadline is 31/12/2019 for the DDA stuff.

There is most definitely a real deadline for completion of the refurbishments, with some very minor exceptions for cascaded in stock and repainting of 319s, it is 31st December 2019.

Had a ride on 319362 yesterday. Exactly the same inside bar the loo and some juggling of seats. Interior colour scheme now doesn't match exterior.

Exterior very shiny and very bland (hoping they don't take too long to get the details on there). . Too much like GTR IMO.

156471 back in service on the Liverpool to Oxford Road service today

I had a ride on refurbished 156471 today from Irlam to LLS. It seems to have had the full job. Internally it had dark blue panels below the windows, otherwise everything else is pure white. Seat cushions and backs seem to be new. The cushions are thickly padded but too hard. I seemed to be sitting about 5cms higher than before, which gives a commanding view out of the windows. Hopefully the seats will soften in time. The seat frames and arm rests are unchanged. The tables are new or newly surfaced. The carpets are the Arriva Northern pattern from two franchises ago, new under the seats, but I wasn't sure if they were new in the aisles as they looked a bit faded and could have been just thoroughly cleaned.
Overall, I think passengers will be satisfied. The PIS was showing only final destination, presumably awaiting software, and pleasingly there were no automated announcements.
The least satisfactory aspect for me was the uninteresting and absurdly impractical white livery outside. It reminded me of those characterless white units you see in London and East Anglia. Common sense might prevail in time.
However it was nice to get back to a 319 for my journey back to Preston! By the way, a white 319 pulled out of LLS as I arrived but I don't know if it was in service or testing.
