73212 Petts Wood, 2/2

Hi

Not much running in Kent today due to the large amount of snow, but I was lucky to come across 73212 towing a GLV at Petts Wood. A few images taken during more heavy snow at:

Ah Excellent I was hoping someone did a photo of an ED & GLV round Kent thanks Richard.

So how does a GLV work then on De-Icer dutys :-?

They are driven from a 73 and I believe the bogies on the GLVs are equiped with de-icing pipes with puts the fluid onto the rails. I think the four NR GLVs can no longer work under their own power.

Yeah I wondered why they use 73 when they have there own motors but now I know So did they take out the GLVs motors to put in the De-icing pipes,


I want one now for my Model railway a 73 & GLV in network rail colours

I assume they took out the motors, not 100% sure though.

Ok and yeah I would want one off those Just need a NR 73 or I could get one off these http://www.oliviastrains.com/pages/310/0/special-class_97003 & http://www.oliviastrains.com/pages/373/0/Hornby_Class_31_105 but at those prices I think again or get someone to do them cheaper.
