I think you may have to explain exactly what your issue is, because I really can't make any sense out of your question - what difference does it make if you got somebody else's receipt?

Sorry if I wasn't clear enough for you.

I have a ticket that my partner has found stating the fare was paid for on a credit/debit card, but I paid cash. My partner is suspicious that someone else has paid for my ticket as I didn't have any cards on me. I've cleared just picked up the wrong ticket. But is there any way of providing evidence of this?

Sorry if I'm being a bit dumb (and possibly personal) - but are you saying that you need to convince your partner that you weren't travelling with somebody else? (If that's the case, I think you do need help, but the help you need is not really within the expertise of this forum).

But, I still don't really understand what your specific question is - what sort of evidence do you think there could possibly be that you paid cash for a ticket?
There could possibly be CCTV of you at the machine, but I can't believe they would consider looking at it in these circumstances.

Go on then, why do you need to prove you paid cash for your ticket?

Do you still have your ticket? Can you post a photo? An old style one would have M after the price if you paid cash or X if you paid card, but I'm not sure where that appears on a new style one if it's one of those.

But if your relationship is such that your partner thinks on the balance of probability you were travelling with someone else (another woman, one assumes) just because you picked up someone else's receipt out of the TVM, I can't see that relationship lasting very long.

It sounds like you picked up a previous customers' receipt, in addition to your own ticket.

It is not uncommon for people to leave receipts in the machines, particularly if in a rush.

In my view this has to be the only feasible explanation to the OP's question, as I've ended up with the previous customer's receipt on self service machines in the supermarket before, instead of my own.

Insulting forum members won't get you any advice or goodwill I'm afraid. Perhaps you'll get the help you need if you bugger off to a relationships forum, where they'll be able to address the real issue here, and maybe tone down the superiority complex too. Just a friendly pointer
