I believe this tour is 67 hauled.

That is what I have picked up from the WNXX thread. It being timed for 100mph on RTT seems to suggest it will be 67 hauled.

With the loco running round the carriages during the couple hours break at Stratford On Avon

I'm in G3 (b) if you want to pop down to say Hi, Adam :)

Both myself and my partner will be on this tour this coming Saturday.

Am I right in thinking that the traction will be either Class 66 or 67?

We will be in seats H7 and 8.

Ah, commiserations- unfortunately that means you are sitting opposite me.

Where HSTs Still Scream. Kind of.
Looks to be running to time according to RTT. Going to go out to Coalville to watch it go through.

Between that and the loco move to Bardon Hill an hour later, it's going to be the busiest day the western stretch of the Leicester to Burton line has seen in some time!

Which is depressing.

Did this run as per the published route or did it deviate? I'm pretty sure I saw this on the Cross City line when driving down Tamworth Road from Sutton Coldfield (towards Tamworth) as I distinctly saw 67022 on the tail with it heading northwards towards Lichfield.

Didn't go anywhere near Lichfield, nearest it would've got was the Sutton Park line
Ran booked route until Rugby then diverted via Northampton vice Weedon on return

Yes got sent down the slow line through Long Buckby and Northampton missing out Weedon on the fast line. Sat at Hillmorton Junction for a while as if signaller was tossing a coin in which route to send him. Front 67 sounded a bit rough when it passed at Roade or do they always sound like a bag of spanners?

I photographed it at Portway, it was going slowish as the Lindsey - Kingsbury tanks got released from Elford Loop about 5 minutes beforehand :D

A friend of mine on the train said they were told the reroute was due to a failed 390 round Weedon but RTT doesn't show anything as losing significant time round Weedon-can anyone confirm?

There was the 1835 Manchester Piccadilly to London Euston behind the train at Rugby running 20 minutes late, so I suspect that was the reason for the diversion via Northampton as that ran non-stop to Euston
