G'day everyone,

I'm planning a visit to the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway on the 3rd March which will be my first visit for many years. I'm looking for pub recommendations for a lunch stop. The pub must sell real ale and hopefully food too.

All recommendations will be gratefully received!

Kind regards,

Richmond Commuter!

For convenience the Mill Hey Brew House, Haworth. Straight in front of you when you exit the station, formerly called The Royal Oak.

It has just reopened after almost being destroyed in the Christmas 2015 floods.

If they don't do food Haworth has plenty of pubs, you just need to walk up the hill to get to them!

The Old Hall does food and real ale but, as with every thing in Haworth, it's up a big hill. The Mill Hey as mentioned above doesn't do food but does do beer and the chippy next door was reasonable enough last time I went (unless that got flooded out too!)

Many thanks for this. Any recommendations for pubs in Haworth?

The Kings Arms, at the top of the hill, is my favourite pub for food in Haworth, The Fleece Inn my favourite traditional pub in the village overall (it also does food, but I've never tried it).

All the pubs in Haworth are worth a visit, the other stations don't have much to offer (including Keighley)

Boltmakers Arms, Volunteers Arms, Cricketers Arms all Taylors pubs worth a visit in Keighley. If you want "posh" Timmy taylors, Lord Rodney does good food.

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I've not seen a timetable for the steam gala yet but if I have an hour to spare at Haworth I think I'll head for the Fleece.

Thanks again everyone.
