In the past I've seen posters at Halifax station giving info on the peak trains, do they still do that?

Government only records the crowding on trains as they enter/leave city centres.

Slightly off from the OP's TOC, Thameslink (and SWT, when 707s are introduced) would be able to collect this data now with the new Desiro City trains, as they monitor the level of crowding per-carriage.
Is that information, on a general / average scale, something either TOC would be likely to release in the (distant) future, for the purpose of those wishing to decide when best to commute?

A number of stations have posters with the information but this doesn't appear to be online at the moment. What is the journey?
As I work for them, I can safely say that any Northern train arriving into Leeds between 8 and 9 will end up being pretty crammed on arrival. If i had a choice as a commuter, I d go for Halifax as there are some seats available up to Bradford.....after that its likely to be standing room only

Clearly Halifax has more journey opportunities. Best bet in from Brighouse is the 0702 which starts at Brighouse, Halifax had the Grand Central set at 0728.

Could be interesting to crowdsource the data.
There are posters at Shipley showing which morning peak trains are the busiest and quietest.
