Does anyone have any experience of this role? Can you recommend it?
The role is new within TfL. They are equivalent to Network Operations Manager in LUL or Mobile Ops Managers in Network Rail. Pretty much as described on their website, responding to incidents on the Elizabeth line and leading and managing the response to any incident.
If you search the forum for Mobile Operations Manager, that maybe able to give you some insight into what the IRM will do.
You maybe required to undertake the role of Rail Incident Oficer or RAIB Accredited Agent also. Will be a very good role to get, believe they are looking to hold their assessment centres in April/May.
Your manager will be a Service & Infrastructure Manager, who is based in Romford. You'll always be assigned to the same shift, so same SIM & Traffic Manager. 8 hour shifts with you either being based at Paddington, Stratford or Abbey Wood.
That's really helpful. Thanks for the info.
Where is the job being advertised?
Just completed online SJT. No idea how i have done. Will see what happens.
If you don't mind me asking, when did you submit your application? Was the SJT similar to the Greater Anglia one?
Anyone had a response after the first online SJT? I am wondering if they are waiting for the closing date.
No i get what you mean - they were rather specific questions. I shall just have to sit tight. I am not from within the industry. I have been a police officer for the past 13 years.
Closing date for this is tomorrow. Hopefully might hear something in the next week or two.
Hello,
I have also applied for one of the Incident Response Manager roles.
Also in the same position, i.e. waiting for my application to be reviewed, and hoping to make it to an Assessment Centre.
Oh!- And guess what I do for a living?
LOL! You got it!- Another one!
I'm guessing they weren't swamped with applications because the vacancy was advertised right up until the last minute.
Presume no one heard anything this week?
