Indeed. Certainly since Settle box closed it has had to run to Blea Moor to cross over. Maybe even before the down platform at Ribblehead was reinstated.

Are 144's still regularly used on the line between Sheffield and Lincoln? They certainly were when I last used it about 6 months ago. That journey is almost completely outside Yorkshire running mainly through Nottinghamshire and on into Lincolnshire.

When I went to the Christmas Market last year the service I was on was worked by 2x 144's. Quite an interesting ride between Retford and Lincoln Central I can tell you - quite bouncy in places.
