The bridge which was meant to be opening at the end of this month as now had a further delay due to unexpected below freezing conditions etc. Always a surprise in winter when its cold.......
This marks another completion date which will now be missed and the town is still suffering. Shops are bare and custom to shops such as Sainsbury's is at an all time low. As many of us in the town were saying, we would have put no money on it to have been completed by Christmas when it was meant to have been completed. I wouldn't put large sums of money on it being completed by the end of Feb. Personally, I'm still of the opinion that if it was south of Watford Gap it would have been done by now.
