Tube strike/ GA Shenfield block

Tube strike from 1800 tommorow will disrupt the Central line to Newbury Park / bus to Ingatestone or Billericay due to engineering work arrangement, the advice is to take Tfl to Brentwood then bus to Ingatestone. The Liverpool St. to Brentwood service is half hourly, given that these trains are already very busy when Central line disrupted will they cope ? (Southend trains normally call Gidea Park Romford etc. on Sundays only as well) Surprised Advance ticket holders not advised to travel earlier if possible.

Also people can use c2c as an alternative as they're going into LST. However they have said that their only able to run 4 cars as access to East Ham has been blocked. All the mainline trains are booked metros and 0s & 2s for the loop. They're expected to be very busy and even worse after 1800 because of the tube strike.

I believe it did overrun until about 05:30 or so apparently.

Sorry thats rubbish. Most of the units are based at Shoeburyness not East Ham at weekends.

If this strike goes ahead, there will be no London Underground Central Line to Newbury Park from 1700. Because of this we will move our rail replacement service from Newbury Park to Brentwood. ​

Timings of the rail replacement changes are as follows, ​

From start of service to 1700 a GA rail replacement service will operate from Newbury Park to Billericay and Newbury Park to Ingatestone.​

From 1700 to 2200 a GA rail replacement service will operate from Brentwood to Billericay, and Brentwood to Ingatestone, with a connecting train service from London Liverpool Street to Brentwood. ​

From 2200 to close of service a rail replacement service will operate from London Liverpool Street to Billericay and London Liverpool Street to Ingatestone.

My point still stands, most of their units are at Shoeburyness, The lack of access to / from East Ham should not prevent strengthening to eight carriages.

Also using Platform 18 which is their usual platform at Liverpool Street doesn't normally preclude 8 car working nor should Platforms 9/10 at Stratford.
