I was not aware that Pacers of the 142/143/144 variety had any connection to the area in question where ride comparisons could be evaluated.

That would make sense as was at Bedworth station on Tuesday and noticed that the platform extension is no longer fenced off, allowing 3 carriages to use the platform.

I don't know about that - most busses don't squeal when going around tight corners.

No significant change as it's taking over on a trial basis from the usual Class 153 unit.

And buses have come on a bit...a Pacer is a 1980s bus

I do like them for the excellent view out, though. I wouldn't mind 153s if they'd take a few rows of seats out and space the rest for those who have legs.

Ah, recently a couple of seats have been taken out of one unit!

Room for 4 standing and two sitting as opposed to 2 rows of 2!

I doubt it was intentional though

No reason why it shouldn't be if the operator is prepared to pay. The prototype unit has a selection of seating options in the centre car.

I noticed this too, think the unit in question is 153356.
