Hi everyone,

Can I just ask if anyone knows what the current font used in TransPennine Express branding is?

Thanks :D

It may be a custom design specifically for that logo. Certainly couldn't identify it using the identifont questions. Those sharply-angled ends to the E and T for example are pretty unusual.
Also the font isn't used elsewhere on their website, only as part of the logo itself.

Edit:
The logo (including the words) is an SVG scalable vector graphics file.

I take it you mean the logo with the star in the top right and the words TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS, as at the top centre of their website, for example?

Wow, thanks for trying! :D

I do indeed mean the logo font.

It's a common enough thing to find one-off designs for company logos. They may not even exist as a font: a designer may have taken a common font, converted the letters for the relevant words to vectors, and then tweaked away until the design brief was met.
e.g. Client: "Make it bold and clear but with an edgy fast-moving feel, but relating to the north of England too."
Designer (some time later): "How do you like this star motif? Fast-moving diagonal lines, Northern Star waffle etc."
Client: "Sounds good, what about the TP text to go with it?"
Designer (some time later): "I've given some of the letters a bit of a diagonal edge, like the star, so it's all suggesting movement"
Client: "I like it!"

(steps removed and sequence shortened, as they said on some advert recently)
