Due to the strikes, to get to Kingston, I got a lift to Sutton and got 319 443 round to Wimbledon. However, the PIS, which was fitted during its refurb at Wolverton has a sticker on it (seen in the attached image)
What is this for and what is the point of having a PIS when it doesn't even work?!

Guesing the leasing company carried out this work to make them more attractive and perhaps the tl routes are not programmed in that said the auto voice works on modified units

They really need a full refit including new seats... The fancy new speaking toilet seems out of place as the rest sure feels 80s retro especially a 319/0!

This has come up in previous threads, it was explained before that it is the owning ROSCO readying them for possible future use, and there is no intention to load Thameslink specific PIS screen or audio data due to the short time before they go off lease.

The PIS works fine. It has been disabled for no apparent reason. Sometimes they do work and you can just make out the scrolling text underneath the stickers.

Agreed, I've definitely been on a few still in Thameslink service where the screens were in operation (before they put the stickers on).
I've seen some PIS's working properly on the 319's. Have they recently taped every single one over?

I definitely agree. I was doing the Sutton loop on 319 438 and the seat which I sat on was down to its springs!
