haven't seen it in service for months - at least 783 is in daily use - so we haven't lost another unit. I'll have a look when I next pass Eastcroft or Etches Park, the latter it's more likely to be at.

I didn't see it at Etches Park, however I did see one of the SWT units at the back of a siding on Wednesday... and I saw at least two Stagecoach liveried 158's between there and Thetford on that journey.

Why have East Midlands Trains still got these units? Are they keeping them?

South West Trains clearly don't need them that much if they've spent all that time up here.

the SWT ones were supposed to have returned in November. Seems odd that SWT units ahve been here since the last day of Central Trains!

EMT have been allocated 43089. It's just being prepared for use by them and to my knowledge they should be getting it any time soon.

As for the Pioneers it's anyones guess but they have put a start on the Corby services for March (or so I heard) which shows that they must be arriving end of Jan beginning of Feb at my guess. They have to have stuff done to them before they enter service.

Not to mention the 180s replacing them on HT are still being prepared. Out of interest, does anyone know where?

an exe file (quick installer) version of the full fleet lists v2.0 in .xls (excel) format is now available for EMT, Northern, NXEC, FTPE and CrossCountry. It will be hosted on my website when it has uploaded (click my sig)

you can also download from the attachment (yes I know it says .zip, the exe is inside it, as the attachment manager doesn't like EXE files

so you want me to remove it as 'ex-SWT' on the FTPE ones? I really need people to explain fully!

170309 used to be 170399.

170399 was with Central Trains until the end of their franchise when it transfered to FTPE. (Apparently it was built along with 170397 and 170398 as spot hire units but they ended up being with Central Trains anyway)

Hope that explains it!

Edit: I also think the 17030X units were built under Bombardier and not Adtranz

but we thought the contract had been withdrawn? According to a magazine I quickly read in WHSmiths (can't remember which) said they definately have.
