Yeah but it's slightly poxy because basically you get just DRS locos down there whilst the rest of us get abit more variety.
By the way here are a few things I would like to clear up.

Test trains are great no matter what.
DRS loco's are great.
Down south is okay.

But DRS Test train shots from down south really get boring after the 100th one.

I like DRS they are one off the best companys on the mainline I think with 20's & 37's :razz:they also have the best liverys for 20's 37's 47's & 57's oh and there 66's

Belive me you never get bord of taking DRS/Secro/Network Rail Test train shots down south with units yeah but not the test train,

I'm up for that. Send them down a single track branch with the 37s facing and making sure that the 20s have to power them up a hill, say the lickey incline

I dunno really although some DRS workings are very much of the Hellfire type sometimes it gets abit silly when you see a flask working with three loco's on it.
Although DRS made two of the best moves I have seen.

57's X4 Stowmarket-Crewe.
20's X2 (plus 25,31,37) On a gala loco movement.

See this is just my opinion and my own grip I suppose but the former (the 20's x3) is fine as it's triple heading just the latter which fair enough is a positioning move just if you didn't know that you would think there just playing with the trainset......

And then DRS go and put 37087 on 4M71 (900 tonnes) one loco! Then for 300 or 400 they use about 4,beyond belief!

No, that's not the reason. I expect locos in storage are started and checked over regularly. The flask trains are normally worked by two locos just in case one fails. Just before Christmas, 37604 failed on the Dungeness flasks and 20311 had to be put on the front of it to take the train forward to Willesden. The 20 ended up running nose first.

The Dungeness flasks ran yesterday with 37682 + 37601 and they ran three times in the three weeks before Christmas (twice with 37038 + 37218 and once with 20311 + 37604) after a short break of not running. I expect they'll run next week, with class 37s being the likely motive power.

It ran Thursday so it'll most likely run next Thursday then every Thursday until they change the day again, like they just did. Best thing to do is check SE Gen every morning.

If you do want to see it, I'd recommend not going to Ashford, it's a bit crap to be honest. Appledore is a good place for a video, because the locos usually thrash up and there are various places on the Dungeness Branch that are brilliant for photos. I'm sure others on here could recommend locations for 6M95.

Thank you for posting that route. We are going on that tour but thought we were going to Dover. That was the impression I got when I booked it as soon as it was announced.Never mind I am still looking forward to it. Maybe we will get to see 34067 which seems to be going to Newbury that day as well.

No problem. Sadly I don't think you'll be seeing Tangmere. The route for the lunch tour hauled by Tornado on 14th Feb has changed, according to UKSteam. New route is Waterloo-Staines-Andover-Eastleigh-Staines-Waterloo.

In London, we get 31s and 43s on SERCOs and previously DRS 37s on a regular basis, as well as 73s every so often. Personally I don't get bored of it, so long as they don't keep sending locos which sound like 37612 down, I'm happy to go and see it.

I don't get bored of the flask either - recently DRS have been sending down a number of their newly 'spruced up' locos including 20308, 37601, 37604 and 37682. If you can get onto the platforms without hassle, Wembley Central is a good place to see it.
