Indeed it does, being an anagram of MORNING, CAT and L.
When I was thinking about a new clue, I thought of "morning has broken" as showing an anagram of MORNING and looked for a station name including those letters. Lymington Pier was a possibility, but it including the other letters was not easy - adding PITY is fine but that leaves EL which was a problem. Georgemas Junction was next, but that was worse. When I looked at Cramlington and saw that three of the other letters made CAT, it was irresistible.

Anyone for a hint? The performing entity is supposedly West-Country; but the station which is the answer, is some 200 miles north-east-ish of those parts.

Assuming that HMS Ark Royal's entry isn't correct: I'll go on the theory that "test" refers to the river of that name, which gives several possibilities. I'll start out with: Whitchurch (Hants)?

A pretty safe assumption.
In this case "test" refers to an exam, quiz, etc. none of which are relevant to the solution; neither is Whitchurch.

My theory behind my answer was that it might have been included as a trick question in a test...
Out of left field on the clue, but is it Selly Oak (for Edgbaston where one sets/plays a test)
