Did anyone else see this last week?

An observation I made is all the people being considered seemed to have fairly good or very good looks. Is it a bias 'experiment' as I think being told your match is someone you're not instantly physically attracted to is more likely to make you think "No. Not them."

A former (distant) colleague of mine was on the first series of Married at First Sight. For all the waffle about "ideal scientific choice", he and the person he married only ended up on the programme because several other couples chose not to go ahead with it.

It is more like Two Strangers and a Wedding, hosted in the UK by none other than Jeremy Kyle (who one of the contestants subsequently married), than anything scientific.

Judging by the first show (have not seen the second) they all seem middle class as well - marquee on the lawn !!!

Will we see participants with "staffy crap" on the lawn

With it being a TV program you can't be sure what the production company paid for and what the participants paid for. Would a working class person reject the offer of a free marquee because it's 'too posh'?

No, but I doubt it would only take up a tiny portion of their garden

How do you know it's their garden? Some gardens which are open to the public for viewing can be hired for special events and not all of them have a stately home in the background.

They showed it happening in the first episode but haven't for each one. Presumably to avoid repetition?

Because they came outside his parents to have a drink in the garden and you could see the marquee.
