Lost property, is there a number other than 'reporting one?

Hope this is the correct section for this, apologies if not and feel free to move.
I left an item on a train on Friday, fortunately it has been found and is now at Euston. I have an e-mail and a reference number, but there is no phone number for me to ring to arrange them to send the item to me. The only number is the one with all the options that is for reporting a lost item, and none of the options got me to talk to the lost property office.
Does anyone know of a number to get through to the lost property officers and arrange for my item to be returned?

I would imagine it is your obligation to go to the office and collect. That may well explain the lack of a telephone number. LPOs would be awfully busy if they were expected to wrap and dispatch hudreds of items each week!

Actually the e-mail I have from lostproperty.org says that they will arrange to have it sent next day delivery by courier.
My issue is that they do not give a contact number and was wondering if anyone knew if one existed, I can't be the first person to be in this position.

It appears from https://www.lostproperty.org/locations.php that there is only one contact number for all their railway-related queries 0330 024 0215

Unless there's anything to the contrary in the email I'd call that and if there isn't a specific 'arrange for your lost item to be sent to you' option just choose the nearest and the agent will deal with your query, put you through or give you a different number to ring. I suspect the first is the most likely. I doubt if you speak to anyone actually in the Euston lost luggage office.

oh! they didn't tell me that. Will they bill you for that service? I assume the item is worth the cost.
