Hi

Yesterday I visited a shop at Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris called La Vie Du Rail. They had a good selection on books and a few magazines also some model trains and a few kids toys.

This was ok, but I live in London. So are their any good "rail" shops in London that maybe sell books, magazine, pins, signs, postcards, old timetables, metal plates etc?

I think I an Allen still has a shop on lower marsh behind Waterloo station

But only for current stuff not railwayana. For secondhand the nearest specialist AFAIK is Robert Humm at Stamford station.

The shop is no longer in the old station building but it is still located in Stamford.

In London, we used to have two excellent secondhand bookshops: Lens of Sutton (Carshalton) and The Smokebox (Kingston). A sad loss to both retailers

I have found some old publications on Amazon, not sure about finding signs and other railwayana apart from bookstalls/stands on preserved lines
