Hi, There seems to be an incredibly low speed restriction with a load of men in orange in between Leyland and Euxton Jn. Does anyone know the cause of it?
Thanks!

There are two TSRs near Leyland on the Up Fast.
There's a long-standing 90mph just north of the station, and a 50mph towards Euxton Jn.
Passing today the 50mph has temporary jointed track, so the renewal seems to be in progress.

This is the same as what has finished about two weeks ago on the Down Fast just north of the station, every Saturday night a new length of track was added, took roughly 6 weeks to do.

Do you know the reason for this TSR? Seems to have been there for months.

80mph TSR just north of Leyland on the Up Fast, another TSR (speed unknown to me) on the Down Fast.

Thanks!

I noticed this on Friday Morning. I had wondered if we had been checked due to a preceding train turning out at Euxton. Many thanks.

"track condition" is what Network Rail are quoting, although that is supposed to finish 0600 this morning.

80mph on both fast lines, "drainage" according to NR. It covers the section of the up fast that was covered by the 90mph TSR, plus more.

Thank you, may I ask where you find out this information (is it easy to access and make sense of)?
