Arsenal Vs Plymouth special...

Just to let people know there could be a special working from plymouth to finsbury park to carry plymouth fans...

Does anyone know if it will be a special or a normal FGW HST service. It says on the official Plymouth Argyle website that it calls at plymouth at 8am and exeter at 9am, before finally arriving at finsbury for 1pm.

Its a special by the looks of it. They say it will be Standard Class only so will probably be MK2s with a 67.

Sorry, i forgot to mention it should be on either Saturday 3rd December or Sunday 4th december... it depends on whether ITV or the BBC want to televise it or not...

Most likely Top and Tailed 67's, or maybe just one. They used three Top and Tailed 67 hauled trains made up of random MK1's and MK2's when Chelsea were shipped upto Barnsley back in March

Thought I would make this clear but on the website it clearly says you must hold a valid Match Ticket for Plymouth vs Arsenal to travel on this special and you don't stand a chance of getting one of those unless you are a club member.

Damn, if I discover it's some rare track then I'll have to buy a ticket to the footy as well! Grr...

As far as memory serves, it should take the same route from the GWML to the ECML as we did on The Sandblower, so apart from it being required for a HST I should be OK.

Yeah, the tickets go on sale to season ticket holders first, youre allowed to buy two tickets with one season ticket and there are around 4000 season ticket holders...

Plymouth have been allocated 8600 tickets so it will be like trying to get our hands on pure gold!!!
