The next few days I will not be able to work on the route, but hopefully a next update in the weekend.

The scenery is now complete.
Next fase will be the stations themselves. As it is now, I am not satisfied with the stations of Edgware, Hendon Central, Brent Cross and Golders Green.
When I look at the pictures I found on Wikipedia, I can see there is a lot of work still to be done.

In the mean time, would some of you make a view activities for the route? As there have been no track changes compared to the last version of the route, you can make activities for it.

The new version has just a few differences compared to the previous version; it contains scenery on the Edgware branch, two tracks have been added at Golders Green Depot, and the Waterloo and City line has been added.



Addition:
I also added Piccadilly Circus - Finsbury Park (incl. the Aldwych branch) to the route. It is still tracks only, but I want to keep my options open. The Northernline is probably complete (and uploaded) at the end of december, and it would be a shame to stop there.

Why the Piccadilly line? 4 reasons;
1. there is a connection with the Northernline at King's Cross, and the Northernline has no other direct connection to any other line.
2. It is one of the line's of which I have a Driver's eye view DVD.
3. Just like the Northern, there is a BVE version of it, from which I can get station textures.
4. The Piccadilly for MSTS, already downloadable, is absolutely unacceptable to my standards.

Today I was not really in the mood for object building, so instead I added some more tracks; Piccadilly Circus - Brompton Road (a closed station near Knightsbridge). So far, tracks only (no tunnels or stations yet).

This is how far the Piccadilly is now:



The Northernline, with the Waterloo & City line (and the Piccadilly 'in progress'), will be released this month.

As the route is starting to be an 3-in-1 route, perhaps a name change is in order?
Any suggestions?

Indeed I do. But I think "Piccadilly, Northern and Waterloo & City lines" is a bit to long to fit in the route selection window of the MSTS 'drive a train' menu.
I need something short; just a few words.
I did think of simply calling it "London Underground", but as it contains only three lines (in a very large network), that is not a very good name.
Perhaps "London Undergound: Tube lines" is more in the right direction.

Suggestions remain welcome.

For now I have planned to create Barons Court - Cockfosters.
When that is complete, I will think about extending it in the direction Heathrow.
Surface building takes a lot more time then the tube-sections.

You could use Turnham Green, Chiswick Park, Acton Town and Ealing Common from the District line route.

Piccadilly line tracks have been extended to just before Cockfosters, excluding the depot (which will be build in a few days).

Tomorrow I think I'll turn my attention to creating some of those still missing objects on the Northern line.

Today I created the Edgware station canopy. I am also satisfied with the stations between Edgware and Morden, although I probably still need to replace their canopy's.
I also still need a station building for Golders Green.

By the end of this month. Probably the last few days of 2008.

A 1938 stock train has already been prepared for the first official service to Edgware. I have placed some flowers up front and the destination nalready reads "Edgware".
Just 2 - 2,5 more weeks to go.
